With its location on the south west of Ireland, the start of the famous Wild Atlantic Way, and the end of Ireland’s Ancient East, Cork has a range of water sport activities for all to enjoy. Cork’s coast and harbour are renowned country wide for their fishing – both Cork Harbour and Ballyhass Lakes are great options if you are interested in angling. Cork beaches of Inchydoney (located just 45 minutes from Clayton Hotel Cork City) and Garrettstown are popular surfing spots in the county of Cork – not only are they consistent surf spots, but they also play host to the beautiful coastal scenery that Ireland is known for.  Sea Kayaking is also a popular sport and Atlantic Sea Kayaking operate from boardwalk alongside Clayton Hotel Cork City for beautiful city kayaking tours.

Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Trails

If you want to stay on dry land, Ballyhoura Mountain Bike Trails is a popular spot for those interested in mountain biking. Cork also has a range of popular walking trails including the Beara Way, Sheepshead Way and the Fuschia Walk in West Cork.
